• Director Bridget Griffen-Foley has been elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.

OCTOBER

• At the Macquarie University Research Awards, Deputy Director Murray Goot has been conferred with the title of 'Distinguished Professor'.

JULY

• Associate Member Don Perlgut has joined the board of the Public Interest Journalism Foundation, Swinburne University of Technology. 

FEBRUARY

• Professor Bridget Griffen-Foley's Changing Stations has been shortlisted for the Blake Dawson Business Literature Prize.

JANUARY

• A team led by Centre Director Professor Bridget Griffen-Foley has been awarded $78,037 under Macquarie University's Research Infrastructure Block Grants scheme for the Media Archives Project.
• CMH Honorary Associate, Professor Robert C. Allen, accepted the 2011 American Historical Association's Roy Rosenzweig Prize for Innovation in Digital History on behalf of his University of North Carolina team for Going to the Show.
