Our research is funded with competitive research grants from the National Health and Medical Research Council, Australian Research Council, National Heart Foundation, NSW State Government and other funding agencies. Our purpose- built laboratories include state-of the art neuroscience research equipment.

- 14 in vivo electrophysiology rigs and 7 in vitro electrophysiology rigs
- white light laser confocal microscopy for high resolution fluorescence imaging
- laser microdissection equipment for precise tissue collection
- a Flex Station 3 for high throughput plate reading capacity with fluidics
- HPLC for catecholamine measurements
- a nucleic and protein analysis laboratory including quantitative real-time PCR machines
- electronic gel documentation systems
- Kodak in-vivo imaging system for whole body imaging in small animals using X-ray, fluorescence or radioisotopes
- Instron tensile testing system for testing the mechanical properties of blood vessels
- Optronis camera and retinal vessel analyser for measuring blood flow in the eye
