Macquarie University’s B&HR Access to Justice Lab (A2J Lab) and the Centre for Environmental Law (CEL) in collaboration with the World Benchmarking Alliance are organising a multi-stakeholder roundtable on Australia’s role in advancing human rights and sustainability in Asia Pacific supply chains.
Ms Lynn Bell, Australian Ambassador to Counter Modern Slavery, People Smuggling and Human Trafficking has kindly agreed to deliver the keynote address. The roundtable will also feature the launch of a report prepared by the A2J Lab assessing the commitment of top 25 companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange to respect human rights in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Participants will explore opportunities for collaboration to advance corporate accountability, tackle challenges like modern slavery, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the Asia Pacific. This roundtable aims to foster stronger partnerships and collective actions that support a just and equitable future for all.
