Gumbaz - Mausoleum

View through the entrance gate to the tomb of Haidar 'Ali and Tipu (Gumbaz). Located at the eastern end of the island of Srirangapatna at Sangam.

Ebony entrance door (inlaid with ivory) to the tomb of Tipu Sultan and his parents. Note stylised tiger-stripe babri decoration on wall. The doors were given by Lord Dalhousie in the mid-C19th.
