Clinic training placement

Clinical placements give you the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and enhance your practical skills. Embedded throughout the course are structured Australian and international clinical experiences that allow you to experience different health systems, cultures and clinical presentations.

Our Australian clinical learning environments include MQ Health, the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) and the MindSpot Clinic. Your international experience is predominately within the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, India.

Through a secure and sophisticated state-of-the-art online clinical treatment platform, MindSpot has provided services for more than 50,000 Australians.

MQ Health

MQ Health is the first university-led integrated health campus in Australia. With a vision of becoming a world-class health sciences centre, MQ Health brings together clinical care provided by Macquarie University Hospital and MQ Health clinics with the teaching and research enterprise of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, to provide an integrated approach to holistic patient treatment, discovery and continuous learning.

We partner with our patients and their families in their healthcare journey. Our signature clinical programs and services coordinate patients’ needs from initial consultation at primary care and specialist clinics, imaging and allied health through to inpatient hospital treatment if required.

This approach is supported by a culture of caring, integrity, teamwork, ambition, innovation and engagement, which results not only in better quality of care overall, but ultimately improves the lives of our patients and the communities in which they live.
