Wedy. 3. Novr. !!!
This being the anniversary of my marriage with my dearest Elizabeth – six Years ago – we had a small Party of Friends to dine with us to celebrate the auspicious day, consisting of Mr. & Mrs. Riley, Mr. & Mrs. Redfern, Dr. Wentworth, Dr. Mileham, Major Cameron – and our own Family. — Our happiness is greatly increased in keeping this Day by the gratifying reflection that my dear Elizabeth is now certainly Pregnant and God grant her Pregnancy may come to maturity – & prove fortunate! —
Wedy. 10th.Novr. !
I set out in my own Carriage from Sydney at ¼ before 6 this morning accompanied by Capt. Antill & Capt. Wm. Mitchell of the Earl Spencer on an Excursion to Windsor, principally for the purpose of opening the New Bridge over the South Creek at the place; — which ceremony took place accordingly at ½ past 1. P.M. this day; – the Magistrates of Windsor and the Contractors for the Bridge having met me there at that hour, when I crossed the Bridge in my Carriage. — Besides the Magistrates, Secry. Campbell, Capt. Glenholme, and Lieut. Bell of the Madras N. Infy. were present at this Ceremony; these three Gentlemen having accompanied me from Parramatta, where we stopt [sic] to Breakfast. In the afternoon I took a ride on Horseback wt. Capt. Mitchell along the Banks of the Hawky. as far as a mile below Blighton and was much gratified to see so very good an appearance of a Crop. —
Thursdy. 11th.
Rode wt. Capt. Mitchell &c. &c. along the Banks of the Hawky. as far as the confluence of the Nepean & Grose Rivers; and was equally gratified wt. the fine appearance of the Crops in that part of the Country.
Fridy. 12th.
I returned to Sydney at ½ past 1. P.M.
