Sunday 20th. Octr. 1811! I have sent home Dispatches to the Secry. of State and to the Comr. in Chief of the Forces by this opportunity; giving charge of the latter to Major Cleaveland, and of the former to Capt. Piper of the 102d. Regiment. — Mrs. Macquarie & myself wrote several Private Letters to our friends by this opportunity; and sent a Pair of Black Swans to Sir Robert Abercromby, another Pair to Genl. Campbell of Monzie, and some New South Wales Woods to Sir David Baird, on board of the Providence, all under charge of Capt. Piper, and which Presents he is to deliver over to Mr. Alexr. Birnie Mercht. in London on his arrival there. — I sent Complete and regular Series of the N.S.Wales Gazettes to Sir Robt. Abercromby, Archy Campbell of London, and to my Broyr. Charles, by Capt. Piper; and a similar Complete Series of Gazettes by Major Cleaveland to Admiral Phillip, the founder & first Govr. of N.S.Wales! —
