Octr. 1.
Monday. — The monthly meeting of our London Staff-Club was held this day at Willis's Tavern. — The Earl of Harrington and all the other General Officers came to Dinner - and we spent a very pleasant social day. —

Octr. 2.
Tuesday. — I accompanied my sisters-in-law Mrs. Morley and Mrs. Scott this day in a Jobbed, or Glass-Coach, to dine with our much esteemed old Bombay friends Colonel & Mrs. Oakes at their House at Clapham. —

Octr. 5.
Friday. — I dined this day with a large and very pleasant Party at Genl. Burrard's [?] House in Hertford Street. —

Octr. 9.
Tuesday. — I had the honor of dining this day with the Earl & Countess of Breadalbane at their elegant House in Park-Lane; my old friend General Baird being one of the company at His Lordship's. —

Octr. 10.
Wednesday. — I dined this day, en famille, at Lord Harrington's, where we had a charming Family Party. —

Octr. 14.
Sunday. — I rode out this forenoon to call upon Colonel & Miss Cook at their Country Seat at Caroline Mount.

I dined at Mrs. Doig's. —

Octr. 15.
Monday. — I dined with my old Bombay friend and acquaintance Mr. Jas. Smith and his young wife at their House in Baker Street. —

Octr. 16.
Tuesday. — I dined with Mr. & Mrs. Parry late of Bombay at their House in Gloucester Place, where I met a number of Bombay friends.

Octr. 17.
Wednesday. — I dined at Lord Harrington's.

Octr. 18.
Thursday. — I dined at Colonel Elliott's.

Octr. 19.
Friday. — I dined at Lord Harrington's.

Octr. 22.
Monday. — I dined again with Ld. Harrington.

Octr. 23.
Tuesday. — I dined with Lord & Lady Banbury.

Octr. 27.
Saturday. — I dined and spent a very pleasant Day with Mr. & Mrs. Brown at their House in Russell Square. —

Octr. 28.
Sunday. — I accompanied my old Bombay Friend Mr. James Loughnan this day in a Post Chaise, to dine (by special invitation) with Mr. Wigram at his Elegant Country Seat at Walthamstowe. — Mr. Wigram is married to a most agreeable pleasant Woman (being his second wife), and is blessed with a most numerous fine Family of 19 Children!!! — He is Colonel of one of the City Volunteer Corps, and is reckoned one of the wealthiest and richest Merchants in London. — We spent a most pleasant agreeable day with this charming Family - and returned to Town again at Night. —

Octr. 29.
Monday. — The Earl of Harrington this forenoon Reviewed Brigadier Genl. Whetham's Brigade, and we all dined with the general afterwards at the Thatched House. —

Octr. 31.
Wednesday. — I dined, en famille, at the Earl of Harrington's. —
