On 12 June 1964 the Macquarie University Act was proclaimed in Parliament, officially creating our great institution. Fifty years later, we have grown and developed a vibrant community on a remarkable campus, produced world-leading teachers and cutting-edge research, and helped more than 150,000 graduates indulge their curiosity and pursue their passions.
