I am pleased to advise that at the close of the ballot, Wednesday 29 April 2015, the University was notified by Elections Australia that the proposed Enterprise Agreement was approved by a majority of staff who voted in the ballot.

A total of 625 staff voted in the ballot and 94.71% of valid votes were in favour of approving the agreement.

I would like to thank all staff who took the time to participate in the ballot.

This result means that the vote has been successful and the University will now make an application to the Fair Work Commission for the formal making of the agreement. This process will take a number of weeks and I will inform staff when the agreement is approved by the Commission.
