Congratulations to Macquarie’s Property team on being awarded, on their first attempt, a 4.5 Star NABERs Energy Rating for the Australian Hearing Hub.
Thrilled with the result, Sonya Ku, Property Sustainability Manager, says the rating not only means the building meets its energy performance target, it also delivers on its green building design promise.
“The Australian Hearing Hub is a great example of what happens when we use sustainable design principles to create spaces that celebrate and encourage world-leading research and collaboration,” said Sonya.
Sonya says that since the building’s construction, the team have closely monitored its performance, and are delighted to receive this rating the first time they were eligible to apply.
“The result demonstrates our team is delivering on Macquarie’s commitment to achieving a minimum 4.5 Star rating for all new commercial office buildings,” she said.
Sonya explains that to achieve this rating, buildings are required to provide 12 months’ energy data and hold a minimum 75% occupancy.
