A lot has happened on the project in the last month as we head towards the upgrade of the Student System (AMIS), eAcademic and eStudent in quarter two.
Initial testing is underway and the focus for this stage is to test functionality of the new version, with no impact on staff or students.
The move to the latest software version 4.12, will see the Student System (AMIS) upgraded with new hardware to enable the program team to implement a range of improvements and new functionality, in addition to new branding across AMIS, eStudent, eAcademic and eApplication.
There will be some changes to functionality, for which further information, resources and training will be provided.
To verify business continuity and to provide users with an overview of the changes, a number of faculty staff have volunteered to help with user acceptance testing within the next month. This is new for Macquarie, and allows subject matter experts to put the system through its paces.
Future improvements also include, in due course, the delivery of enhanced recruitment and admissions functionality, including streamlining and tracking applications for admissions staff, and add the ability for students to track the progress of their application. This will initially be delivered for Higher Degree Research applicants before rollout to other direct application pathways at Macquarie.
We will keep you up-to-date as the project progresses, and inform you as we near the launch date.
