Don’t let the weather fool you – O Week is here and it’s bigger and brighter than ever! The campus is abuzz with the sounds of excited new and returning students, and staff can get involved too.
The week showcases our diverse range of sporting, cultural, professional and social opportunities to give new starters a taste of what our community has to offer.
Faculty based student groups will have their pop-up stalls outside MUSE and along Wally’s Walk, so if you’re part of a Faculty, take this opportunity to meet those groups related directly to your area.
The volume of planned activities could be a little overwhelming for some, so if a student asks where to find out more about O Week, direct them to www.mq.edu.au/orientation where they’ll find a planner to create a personalised schedule to fit in around their classes.
For many on campus today, this is their first real day as a Macquarie student; so if you see someone looking a little lost or confused, take a minute to help them out.
O Week concludes this Friday 27 February with a free Cinema in the Park screening of The Big Lebowski on the Lakeside Lawn.
