NSW State Election employment opportunities

The New South Wales Electoral Commission (NSWEC) invites suitable people to register for casual employment as Election Officials to work at the State Election to be held on Saturday 28 March 2015. Various positions are available in various locations throughout the State.

Election Officials (EOs): 

  • Are employed at polling places on Election Day and may be required to assist with the setup of the polling place, issue ordinary and absent ballot papers, assist electors, sort and count ballot papers and decommission the polling place.
  • Are required to work from 7.15am on Election Day until all tasks are completed on Election Night.
  • Are required to read and complete a training manual prior to election day.
  • Pay rate: $300+ for the day.

You must be an enrolled elector to be offered employment as an Election Official.  No previous election experience is required.
