In 2015 the University will review the Disability Action Plan (DAP), which details steps to address and prevent disability discrimination within its policies and practices, under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
To help gauge the University’s progress and prioritise future initiatives, the University is seeking feedback from staff who have (or have had) chronic health conditions, injuries, mental ill-health, and/or other ongoing disabilities, about their experiences at Macquarie this year

2014 DAP implementation highlights include:
- More than 100 Library staff participated in Disability Confidence professional development workshops
- The PACE Office undertook sector-leading research on the participation of students with disabilities
- Campus Support and Wellbeing implemented a Mental Health Awareness strategy
- Regular meetings of the new Accessible Environments Advisory Group took place, addressing physical accessibility on campus.
