Dear Colleagues,
As you know, Info Day is a crucial event in our student recruitment cycle, and our last opportunity to directly influence the final preference selections of undergraduate future students before the UAC main round preference submissions close.
Next year’s Info Day falls later than normal, and will be held on campus on Tuesday 6 January 2015. I hope that the additional few days leave over the Christmas break will allow staff to return to work rested and fully restored for this important event.
At this stage in the decision-making process, future students place a high value on contact with academic staff to inform and enhance their understanding of our programs. I believe we have a responsibility to ensure that every potential student receives the practical, personal advice they need to enable them to make the right decision for their future.
I urge you to encourage your academic colleagues to attend this event and engage with our prospective students to support the University in helping the next cohort of undergraduates make the best decision possible.
You will be asked to identify staff to represent your programs of study via your Faculty Marketing Manager. Please discuss this event with your staff as soon as possible to help ensure that you are fully staffed for the day.
For further information please contact Alisha Cousins (alisha.cousins@mq.edu.au) Future Students Project Manager, ext. 7382.
Good wishes,
Professor S. Bruce Dowton
Vice-Chancellor
