All staff are invited to enjoy light refreshments and watch the ‘race that stops the nation’ live in the central courtyard on Tuesday 4 November.
“This is a great opportunity for staff to ‘down pens’ and come together in the workplace to socialise,” said Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students and Registrar) Deidre Anderson. “It’s truly amazing to see so many people from such diverse backgrounds enjoying each other’s company on what has become such an iconic day in the sporting calendar. I’m excited to see what is in store for 2014.”
This year, the campus event will support the Riding for the Disabled Association (NSW) Ryde Centre by seeking a gold coin donation from those in attendance. The centre, located on Culloden Road, provides unique horse riding therapy programs for children and adults with a variety of disabilities.
The event will feature door prizes and giveaways for the best dressed, most creative and most ‘out there’ costumes.
