Open to all research staff and higher degree research students, the 2014 Research Excellence Awards were held on 2 October.
“The nominees for this year’s awards cover such a wide range of research areas that I’m certain those who attended the gala event would have learnt not only something they didn’t know about a subject, but about subjects they didn’t even know existed. I was inspired and exhilarated by the winning entries,” said Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Sakkie Pretorius.
The event was also used to launch the Strategic Research Framework 2015-2024, and the Research Impact book, World-Leading research; World-Changing Impact – 50 years of research excellence at Macquarie University.
