Macquathon is a six week combined run and swim series on campus starting 9 September, but all staff are invited to take part in a free trial run tomorrow (Tuesday 1 September).
“The Macquathon is a fun, friendly and social event which is open to staff and students of all fitness levels,” said Social Sport Coordinator Luke Cevolani. “Every Tuesday, competitors will compete in a 4km run around our scenic campus, followed by a 200m or 400m swim at the Sport and Aquatic Centre.”
Designed to test strength, stamina and endurance, Macquathon allows competitors to compete as an individual or as a team with prizes awarded in several categories.
“Tomorrow’s trial is a chance for staff to take part and provide feedback on the course,” said Luke.
