Today Macquarie launches the inaugural Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Awards for Professional Staff. A joint initiative of Human Resources and the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the Awards will celebrate staff who demonstrate our values of service and engagement while making outstanding contributions to the strategic aims of the University.
“Professional Staff are an integral part of the University’s ongoing success and as such it is important that their exceptional performances are appropriately recognised and rewarded,” said Vice-Chancellor Professor S Bruce Dowton.
With the creation of these awards, professional staff join their learning and teaching and research counterparts in being able to nominate their peers in a campus-wide award initiative.
Professional staff will be awarded in three categories:
- Outstanding service
- Collaboration and connection
- Innovation and process improvement
Winners in each category will receive a certificate from the Vice-Chancellor at a celebratory event in November, and a $5000 professional development grant.
Nominations can be submitted by all University staff and students, following endorsement from the nominee’s Head of Office, Department or Faculty.
