The Department of Ancient History celebrated the anniversary of their first lecture last week, with more than 200 staff, students and alumni turning out to hear the ‘Macquarie at 50, Augustus 2000’ lecture.
“The event embodied the old and new in Ancient History,” said Arts Events Officer Carly Quinn. “Two very special guests included the Founding Father of Ancient History at Macquarie, Professor Emeritus Edwin Judge, and our first ever Ancient History Honours Graduate.”
The event also marked the launch of the Faculty’s Jubilee event season.
