The Women, Management and Work conference is a place to engage with your peers and discuss practical strategies of taking a fresh approach to work, while staying relevant and competitive in the marketplace.
Held on 12 November, the event features respected Australian leaders exploring how participants can use ‘intrapreneurship’ – the ability to take risks, sell ideas and see opportunities where others don’t within an organisational framework – to drive career growth and innovation.
“Speakers will share insights into leading in complex and constantly changing business landscapes, and how collaboration and innovation can facilitate career progress and fast-track leadership,” said Professor Anne Ross-Smith, who has been involved in the Conference for more than 10 years.
With a mix of interactive presentations and hands-on workshops, the one-day conference is a chance for participants to gain practical skills to apply in the workplace and hear from inspiring keynote presenters and panellists.
“I fully support any opportunity where women can come together and discuss how to contribute to business leadership. This conference provides an excellent forum to share experiences”, said conference speaker and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students & registrar), Deidre Anderson.
The conference is most relevant to mid to senior level academic and professional staff. Macquarie University staff will receive a special registration rate of $922 excl. GST (saving over $390) by entering discount code WMWC14, which applies at checkout.
