How to apply as an international student
Find everything you need to know about becoming an undergraduate or postgraduate student at Macquarie University.
You’re considered an international student if you do not have any of the following:
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship
- Australian permanent resident status
- a permanent Australian humanitarian visa.
- See if your current qualification is recognised and convert your current qualification score into an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR).
- Ensure you meet the English language requirements for your chosen course.
- Check if you’re eligible for recognition of prior learning (RPL).
You can apply:
- directly to Macquarie University online
- via Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) International, if you are an international applicant currently completing an Australian Year 12 qualification, the International Baccalaureate (IB), or the New Zealand NCEA Level 3 qualification.
- through an authorised agent. Approved representitives can help you with your application and may offer package plans to add value to the standard package. Macquarie University only accepts applications from official representatives under contract to provide professional and reliable advice.
