Fast-track your postgraduate study

If you’re a recent bachelor degree graduate, you may be eligible for a five-point adjustment to your weighted average mark (WAM) calculation.

The additional points, when combined with minimum course admission requirements being met, may also qualify you for a fast-tracked postgraduate course.

How to apply

No separate application is required. All applications for eligible postgraduate courses will be automatically considered.

Eligibility

The scheme is available to domestic and international postgraduate applicants who haven’t previously studied at postgraduate level, and who are applying for entry to an eligible postgraduate course at Macquarie in 2025.

Your bachelor degree must have been awarded no later than five years before your intended course’s start date, and have been completed at Macquarie University, or one of the following institutions:

  • University of New South Wales
  • University of Queensland

The WAM adjustment:

  • can only be applied to WAMs of 50 or higher
  • can’t be combined with any other entry scheme or pathway
  • can only be used for the purpose of admission (doesn’t apply to scholarship applications)
  • isn’t available for internal course transfer or articulation (eg from a nested award, such as a graduate certificate, a graduate diploma or a masters qualifying program).

The following courses are excluded from the scheme:
