The 10-week Direct Entry program prepares you for success in your chosen degree. You'll develop academic language and gain relevant academic skills for writing, researching, giving presentations and interacting with peers in learning forums.

Intensive preparation program (5 weeks)
This 5-week Direct Entry program is designed for students who are already very close to meeting the University’s English entry requirements for their undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or who have a full offer to their degree program and wish to refresh their English and academic skills.
You will study the language and skills related to your chosen field with classmates who are also at this level. Be prepared for fascinating discussions and knowledge-sharing with other high-achieving students.

Australia Award Scholar Introductory Academic Program (5 weeks)
This short program is designed for Australia Awards Scholarship students who have a full offer to Macquarie University. It introduces you to the academic culture at the University and helps you develop the skills required for academic success in your chosen field.
You will learn about the Australian academic culture and expectations, and you will further develop your academic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills using the latest digital learning technology.

Intensive Academic Preparation program (2 weeks)
This intensive two-week speaking program is specially designed for students who have met their overall English language proficiency requirement for entry to university but have not met the speaking skill requirement for their chosen bachelor or master degree.
You will develop language and pronunciation skills for:
- presenting in English
- speaking about data
- participating in interactive lessons with peers.
You will be assessed on your speaking skills during the program and, on successful completion, you will gain direct entry to your university course.
