Receive an offer before getting your final results

This early entry scheme is based on your Year 11 academic achievements and your school’s rating of your aptitude for university study.

Key dates

Applications for 2025 entry are now closed.

Eligibility

To apply for the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS), you must be completing Year 12 and attaining either an Australian Year 12 qualification or an International Baccalaureate Diploma in Australia.

You must hold one of the following:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizenship
  • permanent residency in Australia
  • an Australian permanent resident humanitarian visa.

In addition, your school needs to be participating in the Schools Recommendation Scheme.

A SRS offer is assessed and based on your application, so your senior secondary exam results and ATAR won’t change the outcome of your application through this program. However, it is a requirement of this scheme that you complete your Year 12 schooling successfully including Year 12 examinations (or assessments as determined by NESA or your state education body) in 2024; or an International Baccalaureate Diploma in Australia in 2024.

How to apply

  • Complete the SRS application when you apply for tertiary study via the University Admissions Centre (UAC). Follow the prompts to submit your application.
  • Make sure you have your preferred Macquarie course up the top of your preferences to give yourself the best chance of receiving an offer through SRS.
  • Read the important dates on UAC for information on change of preference deadlines and offer rounds.

Courses

All our undergraduate courses are offered through SRS except:

  • Bachelor of Actuarial Studies with Bachelor of Professional Practice (Honours) (Co-op)
  • Diplomas, undergraduate certificates and Standard Foundation and Intensive programs.
