Manage your course choices
Learn how to preference courses on the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) site to ensure you get into your dream degree at Macquarie University.
UAC uses a preference system to help you decide between universities and courses. You should start by putting the course you really want to do as your first preference. But there’s a bit more to it than that.
You can list up to five courses.
Put your preferences in the order you’d like them considered.
Offers are made to the highest eligible preference considered. If you’re not made an offer for your first preference, you’ll be considered for your second preference and so on in order.
Changing preference order
You can add, delete, or change the order of your preferences any time on the UAC website.
You can only receive one offer per round, so re-ordering your preferences after each round may give you multiple offers to choose from. For example, you might receive an offer for your first preference, but decide to move that preference down so that you can be considered for your other preferences in later rounds.
Note: preferences will be considered as final at the preference change closing date of each offer round. See UAC’s key dates for each offer round.
