- Apply for your student visa via the Department of Home Affairs with your COE. Visa applicants should refer to the Document Checklist Tool to find out which documents need to be attached to their visa application and acceptable English language tests to satisfy the visa requirements.
Note: The International Tuition Fee Refund policy will apply to most refunds. If you're applying to Macquarie University through a program provider, contact the program administrators for refund policy information.
Accessing student systems after acceptance
After receiving your COE, you will have access to all Macquarie Student Systems after setting up your student ID and password.
As an exchange student at Macquarie University, you can enrol in any unit that does not have prerequisites. If you wish to enrol in units that have prerequisites, you need to apply for a prerequisite waiver. You can check the prerequisites for your units of choice in the Course Handbook.
Make sure to follow the advice below to ensure a smooth process:
- Submit prerequisite waiver requests for several units so that you have options in case you do not receive approval for some of them.
- Submit your prerequisite waiver requests as soon as possible and before the commencement of the session.
- Make sure to have approval for your units of choice from your home university before enrolling in units.
