Biography

Kristy Burns is a scholarship holder undertaking a PhD with the Department of Health Systems and Populations (FMHHS) in partnership with the Macquarie University Centre for the Health Economy (MUCHE).

In 2020, Kristy received a High Distinction for her Master of Research thesis, “Work-related injury hospitalisations in young vs older workers”. Kristy has a background in behavioural science and has worked in advisory and program manager roles with a focus on workplace health and safety and road safety.

Kristy is passionate about research which generates real change in practice. Her PhD is focused on mental health at work taking an economic perspective.
