Thank you to Alvaro Nodar, visiting from CFM San Sebastian, Spain, who gave our first MQ Photonics seminar on Classical and Quantum Scattering of Helical States of Light by zoom! It worked well, and Alvaro reported that he found it a good experience too! Alvaro is building on work by his PhD supervisor Gabriel Molina Terriza when Gabriel was at Macquarie. He is using models of classical scattering of helical states of "twisted" light from a silicon nanoparticle to interpret the scattering of quantum entangled light from such a nanoparticle. Alvaro's talk triggered interesting discussion and enabled us to maintain our connections virtually.
