APPLICATIONS CLOSE 23 JUNE 2020We’re seeking a senior researcher to take a leadership role in establishing a new research stream within the Centre for Health Informatics (CHI). You’ll join other internationally recognised teams in Precision Health, Patient Safety Informatics, Consumer Informatics, and Digital Health. The focus of this new research stream should broadly be in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, and the specific focus will reflect the research interests and background of the applicant. About You You’ll already be an experienced and successful researcher, – Associate Professor or Senior Research Fellow who is capable of developing a new research stream, leading a group of early-career researchers and students in support of the stream, and attracting research funding to support the work. About You The successful applicant will be interested in working in a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. They will be able to work independently and demonstrate the capacity for critical thinking about research questions. The successful candidate will be required to develop and apply statistical models and methods and undertake data processing and statistical analyses of large complex health datasets. Contributions and preparation to research publications and presentations will also be carried out. About Us The Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research, one of the core research centres within AIHI, has a multi-stream program of research which focuses on investigating the outcomes and safety of health services. The Centre has particular expertise in assessing the impact of information technologies and investigating the role of electronic health records and decision support in supporting improved health care delivery and health outcomes. The Centre’s research team is multi-disciplinary and applies a broad range of research techniques, from RCT designs to direct observational studies of clinical work.
