Australian paediatric hospitals are embarking on the implementation of electronic medication management systems (eMMS). This symposium will provide an overview of eMMS at the The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network and preliminary results from a 5-year NHMRC research program investigating the effects of implementation. Professor Chris Lehmann, Professor of Paediatrics and Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University in the United States, will discuss the use of eMMS in the US.
