Biography

Ms Joanna Clive joined the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research at AIHI in 2022 as a Research Assistant in the Aged Care Evaluation and Research team. Currently, she is involved in a project investigating the effectiveness of double-checking, aiming to build an evidence base for informing policy and practice both in hospital and healthcare settings, as well as non-healthcare environments where double-checking processes are implemented.

Joanna is interested in the cognitive aspects of development and aging, particularly regarding memory and skill acquisition, and how balance contributes to one’s quality of life and well-being. She is passionate about helping others live meaningful lives and in contributing to research which aims to improve quality of life especially for those most vulnerable.
