Evelyn is a health economist at the Centre for Economic Impacts of Genomic Medicine. She completed her PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney). She holds a Macquarie University Research Fellowship focusing on the economic burden of substance misuse. Her expertise is in dynamic simulation modelling to assess the impact - cost, and equity of different combinations of policies and interventions in a virtual world before they are applied to the real-world settings.

Evelyn serves as a member of the NSW Population and Health Service Research Ethics Committee (PHSREC) and is an associate editor for Addiction, Scientific Reports and Paediatrics and Child Health.

She read Economics at the National University of Singapore and is a visiting fellow at York University, UK.
