Could Anonymity be a Myth?

This month, Professor Yvo Desmedt presented a seminar to the Future Communications Centre and Cyber Security Hub.

Prof Yvo Desmedt, the Jonsson Distinguished Professor at Department of Computer Science, The University of Texas at Dallas, presented a seminar to the Future Communications Centre and Cyber Security Hub about 'Could Anonymity be a Myth?'. His seminar challenged the reigning orthodoxy of Anonymity models, and he gave some counterexamples from public life to illustrate his arguments. He showed that sometimes information about sender and/or receiver is leaked inadvertently, and complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed.
