Join the ORICL ARC Linkage project research team.
The ARC project is a collaboration with 11 ECEC partner organisations to investigate the potential of the ORICL tool to:
- document individual children’s experiences within family day care (home-based) and long day care (centre-based) ECEC services
- enhance educator knowledge and practice
- support the provision of quality pedagogy and practice for children from birth to two years.
This three-year study combines quantitative and qualitative methods to:
- track children’s experiences in their ECEC settings
- gather feedback from educators on their use of ORICL
- assess change in the quality of educators’ practices through analysis of their pedagogical documentation.
The successful candidate will develop a doctoral research topic in consultation with:
- the Principal Chief Investigator (Professor Linda Harrison) and
- one of the Chief Investigators (Professor Sheila Degotardi, Professor Rebecca Bull, Professor Sandie Wong or Dr Belinda Davis).
Availability
The scholarship is available to candidates eligible to undertake a direct entry three-year PhD program.
Components
The scholarship comprises:
- a tuition fee offset
- a living allowance stipend.
The value of the stipend scholarship is $38,500 per annum (full-time, indexed) for three years.
