CSIRO/SQA Emerging Tech Graduates Program

Funded by CSIRO, the Sydney Quantum Academy and supported by industry partners, the Next Generation Graduates Program in Emerging Technology allows students at our partner universities to participate in industry-led research projects and placements to build job-ready skills.

The objective of the Next Generation Graduates Programs is to build a cohort-based, industry driven, multi-disciplinary graduate training program. The program strives to develop entrepreneurial thinking and skill sets earlier, where cross-pollination of ideas leads to breakthrough innovation. Students will collaborate and use peer-to-peer learning to leverage their different backgrounds and skills to create a rich and diverse research environment.
Availability
- Scholarships are available to domestic students only (Australian citizens and permanent residents). For maximum one-year period for the recipient’s Master of research component.
- Applicants must be enrolled at MQ in masters by research in quantum technology or a related field.
- To receive an unconditional offer, applicants will need to be enrolled in Masters of Research.
Components
- Awardees will receive a stipend of $38,500 ($30,000 from CSIRO and $8,500 from MQ) and an additional training allowance of $5,000.
- Awardees will be required to satisfactorily complete a four-week coursework program by CSIRO.
- Awardees will be required to complete a 20-day industry placement.
