Industry Scholarship- Data to data products for a trusted data-driven economy

A scholarship for PhD students in data science/engineering, privacy and security, governance, and economics, focusing on the development of Data Product, which is essential to the implementation of a data economy.

Multiple positions are available for this unique research opportunity to develop and deliver novel data product generation tools, best practices, solutions and platforms. This project is part of CSIRO’s Next Generation Graduate Programs.

We aim for this research and development to allow:

  • organisations to transform their data to data products with governance, privacy protection, to extend and broaden data applications, and to enable data exchange and flow crossing organisations, domains and sectors
  • data consumers to search, query, explore, and combine data products for advanced data analytics and providing value added services
  • true data product trading in marketplaces.

Availability

This scholarship is available to candidates who are eligible to undertake a direct entry three-year PhD program.

Components

The scholarships are comprised of:

  • a tuition fee offset
  • a living allowance stipend.

The value of the stipend scholarship is $41,650 (indexed 2% from 1 July each year) per annum, funded by CSIRO.

In addition, we provide a training allowance of $15,000 and a travel allowance of $5000 for each student.
