Access supportFind out information about the aims, funding, key dates, resources and contacts for the MQ Research Infrastructure Scheme (RIS small).
The purpose of the Research Infrastructure Scheme (RIS) is to develop Macquarie University’s research infrastructure in a strategic way that is aligned with the University’s Research Framework and Faculty Research Infrastructure Plans. The RIS is administered through two schemes run in parallel, the Research Infrastructure Scheme (Large), and the Research Infrastructure Scheme (Small).
While this RIS (Small) provides specific infrastructure to the research programs of individual researchers and research groups, the RIS (Large) provides more general research infrastructure support to Faculties. This page provides details, Funding Rules and the Application Form which apply to RIS (Small).
Between $20,000 and $100,000 over the course of one year.
MQRIS (Small) applications will be submitted through Pure by lead CIs following assessment from the relevant Faculty that the application has been approved to be included in the faculty-ranked list.
Applications that have been submitted in Pure but are not included in the Faculty ranking list will not be considered by the panel.
Questions about Faculty-specific processes should be directed to the relevant Faculty Research Office in the first instance. All Faculty Research Offices must submit their ranking forms for MQRIS (Small) applications by email to the Director, Research Grants & Awards, by 28 October 2024.
