Thanks to generous support from the Australian Friends of Tel Aviv University (AFTAU), five MQ students have been awarded scholarships to attend an exchange program in Tel Aviv, Israel in June 2023.

An amazing opportunity for our students

This is the first time Macquarie MBA students will be attending the 9-day exchange program Doing Business in Israel (DBI) at Coller School of Management at Tel Aviv University. The exchange program is designed to introduce international MBA teams into Israel’s high-tech and entrepreneurship sectors. Students gain a comprehensive view into the Israeli business environment, integrating academic perspective and insights with a hands-on introduction into the dynamics of the business field.

“I am delighted that we can offer this amazing opportunity to our students,” says Professor Debbie Haski-Leventhal, MBA Course Director. “The program is remarkable, offering unforgettable learning experiences and visits to the top companies in the Start Up Nation while meeting students from the best universities worldwide.”

Special thanks goes to AFTAU MQBS alumnus David Dinte (BEcon/LLB 1985) for enabling and sponsoring this life-changing experience for MBA candidates. David has created this scholarship program to support students doing exchange programs at TAU.

“I’m so excited that I was able to create this exchange program between MU and TAU," says David.  "It is a great opportunity for Business School participants from Macquarie University to learn directly from the Start Up Nation and bring those skills back to their careers in Australia,” says David.

Thanks also go to AFTAU CEO David Solomon for his support.
