2021 Pitch Competition Winners
That's a wrap for the 2021 Student Pitch Programs!
The Student Pitch Competition Final took place yesterday as a hybrid event livestreamed directly from UBar! This competition is the perfect opportunity for Macquarie students to showcase their ideas, whether it’s an idea that seeks to address a social challenge, generate revenue or a funny and entertaining idea. This year there were $20,000 dollars in prize money up for grabs, but it’s not all about the money…just ask Marina Leong, one the 2020 winners whose idea went from student pitch to actual startup with a small team spread out across Singapore, Malaysia and America (read more about his story here).
The Audience Choice Awards winners were selected by Macquarie students, who voted through iLearn for their favourite pitches. The Most Appealing Idea winners were defined by a panel of experts who evaluated the commercial feasibility, level of impact and content of the pitch.
