Macquarie Business School saw several subjects rise in the global QS 2021 Subject Rankings released last week, with Accounting and Finance ranked 84.
Both Business and Management and Economics moving into the top 200 for the first time.

Professor Rahat Munir, Head of Accounting and Corporate Governance said on the rankings success “I am extremely proud that our excellence has been recognised globally. Our continuous rise in global rankings over several years shows that accounting graduates and academics at Macquarie Business School are recognised as some of the best in the world.
“As ever, this achievement is testament to the excellence of our academics, quality of our students and alumni, engagement of our industry partners, and commitment to providing an outstanding student experience,” said Professor Munir.
Overall, Macquarie University saw a total of 14 subjects being ranked in the top 150 globally.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Engagement, Professor David Wilkinson says the outstanding results in the QS Subject Rankings reflected Macquarie University’s strong reputation across a broad range of fields.
“The high-impact research and quality teaching at Macquarie University across Business, Humanities, Science and Health is being recognised at an international level by academics and employers,” says Professor Wilkinson.
