Camp Aspire showcases MQBS to indigenous students
The Business School is working with Walangu Muru to help deliver Camp Aspire, a multi-day on campus experience for rural/regional indigenous students.

Camp Aspire enables students to experience an area of our university that they choose based on their interests and gain the knowledge and experiences that will allow them to decide on what their tertiary study options are once they finish high school.
Camp Aspire involves a series of experience days throughout the year. In the first two of these on-campus events days, four indigenous students, and a student mentor from Walanga Muru, visited campus over two days in April.
For the Business School’s portion of the days, a series of activities were developed to showcase our facilities and programs. These included a welcome session and group activity in the Finance Decision Lab, followed by informal discussions with a senior academics and a tour of our production studio.
Walanga Muru runs some amazing community engagement programs and MQBS's Learning and Teaching portfolio is looking forward to continuing to work with them in 2021 to deliver this great program. Thank you to Acting Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching, Yvonne Breyer and Executive Dean, Eric Knight, for their support of this initiative.
