Saty. 1. Novr.
I closed the Muster at Liverpool.

Mrs. M. & Mrs. Riley (who came to us yesterday on a visit from Sydney) went to Breakfast at Liverpool – but returned immediately afterwards.

Lt. Govr. Erskine, Capt. Morrissett, Capt. Gill & Secry. Campbell came up this day from Sydney to visit us. —

Sunday 2. Novr.
Capt. Gill & Secry. Campbell returned after Dinner to Sydney. —

Mrs. M. was so ill all this day as to be forced to keep her Bed. —

Monday 3d. Novr. !!!
Mrs. Riley went in the Govt. Carriage escorted by Major Antill early this morning to see Windsor, intending to come back to Dinner. Mrs. M. is this day considerably better.

I marked out the Scite [sic] of the new Barracks on the rising Ground to the Southward of Macquarie Street – & about the Center of said Street – along with Mr. Meehan & Lt. Watts! It rained all the afternoon of this Day very heavy. —

Tuesday 4. Novr. !
I returned to Sydney from Parramatta, accompanied by Mrs. Macquarie & our dear Boy early this morning by Water in our own Barge; having been exactly Two Hours and a Half on the Passage to Sydney. — The Child behaved very well and did not appear to suffer from the Voyage. — L.M.
