Friday 4th. June 1813 ! —
This auspicious Day – the anniversary of our beloved Monarch's Birth – was observed as a Holiday throughout the Territory – and celebrated with the usual demonstrations of Joy. — I entertained the Gentlemen of the Colony at Dinner, consisting of 74 Persons, and the Ladies at Supper – at which 120 Persons sat down. — The Company did not break up till 1,O'Clock the following morning.
Friday 11th. June 1813 —
The Transport Ship Fortune wt. 196 male Convicts anchored this day in the Harbour from England from whence she sailed on the 13th. of Decr. last. — Deputy Comy. Genl. David Allan & Family; Mr. Hogan Dy. Asst. Comy. Genl., and Messrs. Brodie & Hobson Clerks in Commissariat Department came Passengers in this Ship; together wt. Ensn. Dawson & a Detachment of 30 soldiers of the 73d. Regt. as a Guard for said Ship.
