Tuesday 10th.March 1812 !
It continued to rain most violently since Saturday last to this day inclusive (– excepting for a short interval on Sunday forenoon) which occasions great apprehensions of a Flood of the Hawkesbury. —

Friday 13th. March ! —
I received Letters from Mr. Cox J.P. at Windsor reporting that the River has risen 12 Feet above its usual Height within the last few days and that there are Nine Feet [...] Water over Mr. Thompson's Bridge on the South Creek; but that there is, as yet, no apprehension of an inundation of the River. —
