Novr. 7.
Thursday! — The Bombay Frigate and the Ravensborne Country Ship saild [sic] this day for Bussorah with the Body of the late Persian Ambassador on board, together with about 70 men of his Suite, on their return to Persia. —

Lieut. Paisley proceeds in charge of the Body of the Ambassador. —

Novr. 15.
Monday! — The 86th. Regt. under the immediate command of Brevet Major Cuyler (the Senior Capt.in), consisting of 5 Captains, 14 Lieuts., 1 Adjt., 1 Qr. Mr., 1 Surgeon, 2 Assistant Surgeons, 48 Serjts., 20 Drummers, and 838 Rank & File – Total 930 Officers & Men, Embarked this day for the Province of Guzerat to relieve the 75th. Regt. now there.

In consequence of my determination to go Home this Season, I resigned the command of the 86th. Regt. this morning to Major Cuyler, and they sailed this Evening for Guzerat, being in high order and fit for any Services.

Novr. 18.
Wednesday. — Major Malcolm the late British Resident at the Court of Persia, who has been residing here for some time past, sailed this day on his return to Bengal. —

Novr. 25.
Thursday. — The Travers Extra Indiaman arrived this day from England, but I received no Letters by her. —

Novr. 27.
Saturday. — The Romney Man of War sailed this day for England, by which opportunity I wrote a number of Letters to my friends at Home. —
