Apl. 3.
In the General Orders of this day, a Detachment consisting of His
Majesty's 75th. Regt.,
the 1st. (Grenadier) Battn. & 7th. Battn., and a Company of Artillery under the command of
Lt. Col. Hartley, are order'd to hold
themselves in readiness for immediate Service.
Apl. 14.
The above Troops order'd for Service, sailed this day out of the
Harbour; supposed to be destined to reinforce the Rajah of Travancore.
Apl. 20th.
I wrote letters of this date to Genl. Maclean,
Capt. Duncanson, Mr. John
Cameron, Uncle Lochbuy, and Brother Charles, by the London East
Indiaman Capt. Eastabrook. —
Apl. 22.
The London sailed for England.
Apl. 23.
The Crown & Perseverance Men of War return'd from their Cruize into Harbour. —
Apl. 29.
The Crown wt. Commodore Cornwallis and
Perseverance Capt. Smith, sailed out of
the Harbour. —
