A mode of offering which indicates that classes (eg lectures, tutorials) are conducted on campus. A unit may be offered as a day offering (classes between 8am and 6pm) or an evening offering (classes between 6pm and 10pm).

Joint programs
Joint programs involve simultaneous enrolment in acoursework program provided by Macquarie University and an overseas partneruniversity. Students study for part of the time in another country and thencomplete the qualification at Macquarie.

Joint research degree
The joint enrolment by a student in a program at Macquarie University and selected international partner universities. A student has supervisors at both universities and spends time at both universities. The final thesis is jointly examined and the two universities may jointly award a degree.
