We aim to increase student engagement in their learning and help teachers in their mission with a number of fun and curriculum-aligned activities.
Our most popular activities include:
Schools are invited into our teaching labs for hands-on lessons with a team of qualified student demonstrators who will work with your students through a curriculum-focused experiment or activity.
We offer a series of workshops linked to Citizen Science projects and solving Global Challenges, such as galaxy classification to the hunt for new worlds and extra-terrestrial life.
Students can learn about stars and planets on-campus or in-school using our Planetarium to view a 360-degree virtual sky.
You can also find us at many outreach events throughout the year, both on and off campus, from the Macquarie University Open Day and the Macquarie Science Experience to the Sydney Science Festival during National Science Week.
